The precision of an electromagnetic flowmeter (magmeter) relies directly on Faraday’s Law of Electromagnetic Induction:

Where E is the induced electromotive force (EMF), B is the magnetic flux density, L is the conductor length (pipe diameter), and v is fluid velocity.
Because measurement accuracy hinges on maintaining a uniform magnetic field (B), Anstee Coil engineers symmetrical excitation pairs with strict DC resistance and turn-count tolerances. This minimises thermal drift and zero-point offset during continuous pulsed DC or AC excitation.
