Bespoke LVDT Windings, Transducers & Industrial Sensing Devices

Anstee Coil Technology designs and manufactures custom LVDT coils, variable reluctance probes, inductive pickups, and high-temperature transducers for specialised industrial OEM applications worldwide. We specialise exclusively in custom electromagnetic sensor sub-assemblies and fine-gauge sensing windings—we do not manufacture complete consumer measuring instruments or digital display units.

Stocks of off-the-shelf coils ready for despatch.

Sensing Device Design & Manufacturing Expertise

Specialised sensing applications place severe demands on electromagnetic symmetry, thermal stability, signal linearity, and pressure resistance. Standard off-the-shelf sensors frequently fail when subjected to aggressive fluids, continuous vibration, or extreme thermal ranges.

We design and manufacture bespoke sensing solutions from concept through to full production. Utilizing precision micro-winding, advanced magnetic core selection, hermetic potting, and high-temperature insulation systems, our sensors deliver long-term drift-free accuracy from –40°C up to +500°C.

Governing Physics: Electromagnetic Induction & Thermal Resistance Stability

The operation of inductive sensing devices relies on Faraday's law of electromagnetic induction, where a change in magnetic flux (Φ) generates an induced electromotive force (e):

e = -N · (dΦ / dt)

Where e is the induced signal voltage, N is the turn count of the sensing coil, and dΦ/dt is the rate of change of magnetic flux. For position, speed, and proximity sensing, dΦ/dt is directly proportional to mechanical target movement. Anstee Coil maintains tight turn-count uniformity (N) across sensor batches to ensure identical signal sensitivity.

In high-temperature environments (up to 500°C), thermal variation alters conductor resistance according to the linear temperature coefficient of resistance equation:

R_T = R_0 · [1 + α · (T - T_0)]

Where R_T is conductor resistance at temperature T, R_0 is resistance at baseline temperature T_0, and α is the material temperature coefficient. To prevent signal drift across extreme thermal gradients, Anstee Coil matches temperature-stable wire alloys with balanced differential winding geometries, ensuring flat temperature response curves and absolute measurement accuracy.
